Thanks(giving)

It's that time of year. You know...the one when Americans (and other nationalities of course) all get together and stuff themselves with dead ugly bird (better known as turkey), mashed potatos, stuffing (which I found out that I can't have because it has chicken broth...grr,) bread of all sorts, and pumpkin, depleted of all its nutrients, loaded with sugar, and baked. Ahh...how I love Thanksgiving.

I'll be going with my family to a friend's house tonight, and then tomorrow more families will be joining us for the whole eating thing. Oh, and we'll be saying what we're thankful for. (This is one of those traditions that has been going on for years.

SO. Instead of writing a list...here are some pictures of what I am thankful for. I couldn't put up everything I am though...I would have used up all the bandwidth and risked the wrath of my parents.

Happy Turkey Day!

Loss

Katie Broecker.
There's not much to say other than that she's gone.
It's hard on everyone: the students, the staff, family, friends.
We all grieve in different ways.
But she is in a better place now.

My kind of Bible movie.

So in my Bible class at school, we've been reading 1st and 2nd Samuel. For 2nd Samuel, we watched part of a movie about the life of King David. I was kind've saddened when we got to the part about David and his affair thing with Bathsheba. You see, neither of the actors was good looking. They were rather ugly in fact. I think that they had to have been hot. I mean it was this king who was apparently good looking. And I mean this woman he saw bathing was apparently hot enough for him to sleep with her and then kill off her husband. So I came to the conclusion that if I were to make a movie about David's life...I would make Justin Timberlake play as David, and Jessica Alba play as Bathsheba.
Seriously. Movie would be so much better. And more people would watch it.

It's been a while.

So, it turns out I haven't written since this summer.
Which is pretty much due to this thing called school.
Yes, I know, it's very sad.
But, please, if you would like to blame someone, feel free to contact my teachers.

BlaBlaBla Cool.

My summer is pretty cool.
I just thought that I'd post some pictures of random things.
The first two are of a chicken salad belonging to my mother. (Obviously not mine, due to the chicken.)
The third is of a sugar free chai smoothie I made.
The fourth is of the really cute pair of shoes I got last night.
And the fifth is of my daddy and me when I was visiting him in the hospital today.
Hope everyone's having a good summer!

Blissful Summer...

I'm finished with school! Well, at least until August.
Exams weren't as bad as I thought. I only got a not good grade on two of them. And the one was only not good, but it wasn't at all bad. Haha, anyway.
So I've been enjoying my summer. Living it up!
Staying up till 11 PM! That's about as wild as I get.
So yesterday night we had a 'party' get together thing for David, seeing as he's graduating and all. It was fun...there was food, there were friends.
What more could I ask for?
I mean besides a million dollars.
But yeah I made a banana cake. It was pretty good. It was moist and dense and tasted like bananas. Hence the name. It had a lemon icing/glaze, which I was a little skeptical about at first, because umm, I'm not really a huge lemon person. I don't like lemonade. It makes my teeth hurt. But I shouldn't have worried. The glaze was really good. And it made the cake. Really.
So here are some pictures.

Pretty...

I would've gotten a picture of the inside, but I forgot.
Because that was pretty too.

Michelle et moi. She came in for David's graduation.

I love this picture. Josine, me, and our brother from another mother. We all look really funny though. Especially David. Like that's a really hilarious facial expression.
